‘Welcome 4’ Confirmed: Firoz Nadiadwala Teases Multiple Villains in Akshay Kumar’s Comedy

Producer says script is nearing completion as makers plan a grand scale film featuring popular characters from the franchise.

Mumbai, Mar 10 : Producer Firoz Nadiadwala has confirmed that work has begun on the fourth instalment of the popular comedy franchise, Welcome 4, raising excitement among fans of the long running series.

In a recent interview, Nadiadwala revealed that the script for the film is currently in an advanced stage and further details about the cast and production will be announced soon. He hinted that the movie will feature large-scale music and action sequences, with plans for an international soundtrack involving musicians from regions including the Middle East, Africa, the United States and China.

The producer also indicated that several iconic characters from the franchise could return in the new instalment. Among them are Uday Bhai, Majnu Bhai, and Dr Ghungroo. He added that the storyline may include more than one antagonist, suggesting a bigger and more dramatic narrative than earlier films.

The original Welcome, directed by Anees Bazmee, starred Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, and Paresh Rawal and became a major hit with audiences. Its sequel, Welcome Back, also directed by Bazmee, saw several original cast members reprise their roles.

Meanwhile, the third film in the series, Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan, has already completed production and is scheduled to release in theatres on June 26, 2026.

Nadiadwala dismissed rumours about delays in the third instalment and credited the film’s extensive cast and crew for successfully completing a large-scale production. The movie features an ensemble that includes actors such as Arshad Warsi and Suniel Shetty, alongside Kumar and Rawal.

He also noted the logistical challenges involved in filming, highlighting sequences that required hundreds of horses, army helicopters and high-end vehicles worth hundreds of crores for a major song shoot in Dubai.

With Welcome to the Jungle set for release next year, the confirmation of Welcome 4 suggests that the popular comedy franchise will continue expanding with even bigger productions in the future.
