‘What’s So Surprising?’: Tejashwi Yadav Reacts To Nitish Kumar’s Absence From PM Modi’s Roadshow
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav says BJP has no intention of making Nitish Kumar Chief Minister again, slams PM Modi for “unparliamentary” remarks during Bihar rally.
Patna, Nov 3 — Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial nominee Tejashwi Yadav on Monday dismissed Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s absence from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow in Patna, saying it was no surprise as the BJP had no plans to make the JD(U) chief CM again.
“What’s surprising about this? Everyone knows that the BJP will not make Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister,” Yadav told reporters, taking a dig at the ruling alliance.
The RJD leader also hit back at PM Modi’s “Katta” remark made during a rally in Arrah, calling it unbecoming of a Prime Minister. “Jiski jaisi soch hai, uski waisi bhavna hai. He acts and speaks like that. Maybe he pointed guns to make others join the NDA. I do not want to comment further, but I have never heard any PM speak like this,” Yadav said.
PM Modi, while addressing rallies in Bihar on Sunday, accused the opposition of internal rifts, claiming that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) had “snatched” the Chief Minister’s post from the Congress and that the Mahagathbandhan was “forced” to project Tejashwi Yadav as its CM face.
The Prime Minister also attacked the RJD-Congress combine for misgovernance, describing their rule with five words “Katta, Kroorta, Katuta, Kushasan, and Corruption.” Modi explained that “katta” referred to a place where cruelty and lawlessness prevail.
Bihar is set to vote in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14.
