WTT Youth Contender 2026: Mixed Doubles Glory for Das-Arya and Dave-Rewaskar
Syndrela Das claims U-19 crown alongside Sarthak Arya; Vivaan Dave and Naisha Rewaskar triumph in U-15 mixed doubles at Vadodara event
Vadodara, Jan 5: India’s Syndrela Das continued her winning streak at the WTT Youth Contender 2026, teaming up with Sarthak Arya to clinch the U-19 mixed doubles title at the SAMA Indoor Sports Complex on Sunday. This marked her second title in two days, after winning the U-17 girls’ singles crown earlier in the day.
The second edition of the WTT Youth Contender, presented by the Sports Authority of Gujarat, is being hosted by the Table Tennis Association of Baroda and implemented by UTT, featuring 226 players competing across U-11 to U-19 categories.
U-19 Mixed Doubles Final
Syndrela and Sarthak dominated the top-seeded pair of Abhinandh Pradhivadhi and Ananya Muralidharan with a convincing 11-3, 11-9, 11-3 victory to secure the title. Syndrela is also in contention to retain her U-19 singles crown in the ongoing tournament.
U-15 Mixed Doubles Winners
In the U-15 category, Vivaan Dave and Naisha Rewaskar lifted the mixed doubles title, defeating Reyansh Jalan and Tanishka Kalbhairav 11-8, 11-8, 11-3.
Group Stage Highlights
Earlier rounds saw intense action across age categories. In the U-11 boys, Rehansh Singhvi (Group 1) and Rajdeep Biswas (Group 2) topped their groups to reach the semifinals. For the U-11 girls, Aadya Baheti and Anshika Gupta advanced to the knockout stage after winning all group matches.
The tournament continues to showcase India’s rising table tennis talent, combining youth development with competitive excellence.
