The Geetu Mohandas directed action drama arrives globally with Yash in the lead, backed by an ensemble cast and significant advance interest.

BENGALURU, Aug 26: Kannada superstar Yash’s much awaited film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups arrived in theatres on Wednesday, marking his return to the big screen nearly four years after the blockbuster success of KGF: Chapter 2.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the action drama has generated considerable anticipation ahead of its worldwide theatrical release. The film features a large ensemble cast, including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.

The film has secured an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a runtime of more than three hours. It is being released in multiple languages to reach audiences across different regions.

Yash has taken on multiple responsibilities for the project, serving as both its lead actor and a producer. The film’s distinctive gangster themed narrative and visually ambitious production have contributed to the attention surrounding its release.

Ahead of the premiere, the actor and the team appealed to audiences to avoid sharing spoilers online and thanked fans for their strong support.

The release comes after extensive anticipation among Yash’s followers, particularly following the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2. The actor’s latest project also represents a collaboration between mainstream Indian star power and Mohandas’ distinctive filmmaking approach.

With its wide theatrical release and strong pre-release interest, Toxic is expected to be closely watched for both audience response and box-office performance.
