REASI, JUNE 07: In view of 8th International Yoga Day, AYUSH department Reasi on Tuesday organised a Yoga Camp here at Bhim Garh Fort.
The camp was organised under the guidance of Director AYUSH J&K Dr. Mohan Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Babila Rakhwal and District Nodal Officer AYUSH Dr. Ravinder Kumar Pandita.
It was the 2nd event in the series of 7 Iconic Yoga Sessions being organised in the district ahead of the 8th International Yoga Day falling on 21 June 2022.
Prominent citizens and general public participated in the camp. Dr. Anil Koushal, Medical Officer AYUSH Dispensary City Reasi along with Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Medical Officer AHWC Kundran along with Yoga Instructors Majid Malik, Rahul Nargoch and Sukhdev Singh demonstrated different Yoga asanas and pranayamas beneficial for health.
Dr. Pandita gave a detailed presentation on life management skills and said that these are inherently part of various yogic practices. He briefed about the role of eight limbs of Yoga in managing the day to day crisis effectively and creating more mindful and aware younger generation.
Moreover, Dr. Pandita also briefed about career opportunities in the field of Yoga and wellness, an initiative of the Ministry of AYUSH and urged the youth to enroll for the Yoga volunteer certificate course of the Ministry of AYUSH.
