Shiv Sena open memorandum to the CM, based on public aspirations
Focus on 'Local First.' separate funds for, 'Dogra heritage' and tourist places
Jammu: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit has issued an open memorandum based on people’s aspirations for the upcoming budget session.
In a press conference held at Jammu Press Club, state chief Manish Sahni said that seeking suggestions from the public and public representatives under the commitment of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to give a friendly and public interest budget is a commendable step. In this series, today an open memorandum based on people’s aspirations is being issued in the name of the Chief Minister.
Sahni said that under the demand of ‘Local First,’ strict instructions should be issued to reserve 80 percent of jobs for local youth in industries and private sectors, and and special financial assistance should be given for the promotion of local small industries. He said that under Article 16 (4) of the Constitution, the state government has the right to provide local reservations.
Sahni has demanded to allocation of a special package and separate budget amount for the development of tourism and Dogra heritage sites of the Jammu division and to fulfill the announcement of the development of Kesar Park in Kishtwar.
Along with this, there is a demand to fulfill the promise of free electricity and to improve basic facilities like education, health, and roads.
Sahni has appealed to the BJP MLAs, who claim to be well-wishers of Jammu and Dogras, to raise their voices on the demands of the people of the Jammu division in the upcoming budget session. On this occasion Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, and Sr Vice President Sanjeev Kohli were present.
