Jammu, 17-07-2025: Sh. Lalit Mahajan, Head of MSME Committee under FICCI J&K State Council,  presented a Memorandum to Sh. K.K. Pathak (IAS), Chairman Taskforce, Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Govt. of India on De-Regulation and Reduction in Compliance and Ease of Doing Business Reforms for Industrial Units working in Jammu & Kashmir in the presence of other Govt. of India Officials, Sh. Vikramjit Singh, (IPS), Commissioner/ Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Sh. Arun Kumar Manhas, JKAS, Director, Industries & Commerce Department, Jammu, Sh. Khalid Majeed, JKAS, Director, Industries & Commerce Department, Kashmir, on behalf of the Industries Fraternity at Srinagar.

During the course of discussions, Mr. Mahajan highlighted the various issues related to the Industrial Sector which needs De-Regulation and Reduction in Compliance and Ease of Doing Business Reforms which includes Mandatory Submission of Hard Copy of Documents for Claiming Fiscal Incentives, Submission of Undertaking/Indemnity Bond for Claiming Fiscal Incentives duly executed before 1st Class Judicial Magistrate/Executive Magistrate, Delegation of Power – De-Registration of the Micro & Small Scale Unit to concern General Manager, District Industries Center under Ease of Doing Business Concept, Change of Constitution of PMT Registered Units, Adoption of Ease of Doing Business by JKSIDCO, Ease of Doing Concept by Power Development Department for the Sanction/Transfer/Surrender of Power Load by Industrial Units, Delegation of Power for the issuance of NOC for the Purchase & Installation of  DG Set by Industrial Units under Ease of Doing Concept, Exemption to Industrial Units being setup in Notified industrial Area from the preview of Environment Clearance, Exemption of White Category of Industries from taking clearance from State Pollution Control under Ease of Doing Business, Grant/Renewal of Factory License & Permission to grant for the Operation of Industrial Units on Three Shift Basis under Ease of Doing Business Concept, Exemption to Micro and Small Scale Units up to 20 Employees under Employees State Insurance Corporation Act at par with Employees Provident Fund Organisation Act, Exemption to Micro and Small Scale Units  from Factory License.

Sh. K.K. Pathak (IAS), Chairman Taskforce on De-Regulation and Reduction in Compliance and Ease of Doing Business Reforms assured the delegation that the committee will take up the matter with the Govt. of India to resolve the issues related to the Industrial Sector as early as possible which will provide great relief to Industrial Units working in J&K.
