ESIC Jammu and BBIA Launch SPREE 2025 Awareness Drive for Industrial Employers and Workers

Jammu, 18-07-2025 : Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Regional Office Jammu with the collaboration of BBIA conducted an Awareness Program of “SPREE 2025 (Scheme for Promotion of Registration of Employers and Employees)” for Industrial Fraternity at BBIA Bhawan today in the presence of Sh. Dushyant Pandey, Regional Director ESIC,   Sh. Lalit Mahajan, President BBIA, Sh. Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary BBIA, Sh. Rajesh Jain Secretary BBIA, Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Director, ESIC, Sh. Yash Pal Bhatti, Branch Manager ESIC, Sh. Vimal Gupta, SSO, ESIC and Members of Bari Brahmana Industries Association.

Sh. Viraaj Malhotra, General Secretary, BBIA welcomes the officials of the ESIC, Jammu, and members of Industrial Fraternity in the awareness program.

While speaking on the occasion, Sh. Dushyant Pandey, Regional Director ESIC apprised the stakeholders about SPREE 2025 (Scheme for Promotion of Registration of Employers and Employees) approved by the Employees’ State insurance Corporation (ESIC), is a special initiative aimed at expanding social security coverage under the ESI Act. The Scheme is applicable from 1st July to 31st December 2025 and provides a One-Time Opportunity to Unregistered/Registered Employers to cover the Employees including Contractual and Temporary workers-to enroll from the date of registration without facing inspections or demands for previous period.

Under SPREE 2025 Employers can register their units and employees digitally through the ESIC portal, Shram Suvidha and MCA portal. Registration will be considered valid from the date declared by the Employer. No contribution or benefit will apply for periods prior to Registration. No inspection or demand of past records will be made for the period prior to the date of registration.

Sh. Lalit Mahajan, President, BBIA, in his Presidential remarks appreciated the steps taken by Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Regional Office Jammu under the able guidance of Sh. Dushyant Pandey, Regional Director ESIC for providing best services to the registered Employees of Industrial Fraternity and also  for conducting such seminar to educate the Industrial Sector in respect of various schemes of ESIC. Sh. Lalit Mahajan also draws the kind attention of Sh. Dushyant Pandey, Regional Director ESIC in respect of pending disputed cases with the ESIC Corporation and requested to cover the same under the said scheme. With one time opportunity to resolve the pending legal cases.

During the course of discussions, the members present raised numbers of issues pertaining to ESIC & on spot solution was given to resolve the issue raised by members. Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Director, ESIC, Sh. Yash Pal Bhatti, Branch Manager ESIC also addressed the members present in the program.

 Sh. Dushyant Pandey, Regional Director ESIC, appreciated the efforts of BBIA to educate the Industrial Fraternity & requested the unit holders to contact the ESIC Department in case of any query. Further on the issue of one time opportunity to resolve the pending legal cases, it has been brought in the knowledge of the participants that the matter is under the consideration of ESIC Corporation.
