Hockey Jammu & Kashmir Elects New Executive Board and Office Bearers (2025–2029), Manik Batra elected as President
Jammu, September 7, 2025 – The much-anticipated elections of Hockey Jammu & Kashmir were successfully held today in Srinagar to elect the new Executive Board and Office Bearers for the 2025–2029 term. The electoral process was conducted strictly in accordance with the National Sports Code.
The elections were overseen by Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Retd. Principal District & Sessions Judge of J&K, who served as the Returning Officer, with Mr. Rajesh Dutta representing the J&K Olympic Association as the official observer. Representatives from all districts of Jammu & Kashmir actively participated in the process.
The following individuals were elected as the new office bearers of Hockey J&K:
•President: Mr. Manik Batra
•General Secretary: Adv. Manmohit Singh
•Treasurer: Mr. Gurpreet Singh
•Vice Presidents: Mr. Nisar Ahmad Nayak and Adv. Barkat Kour Rattan
•Joint Secretaries: Mr. Makhan Singh and Miss Jasleen Kour
•Resident Secretaries: Mr. Surinder Pal Singh and Ms. Parvinder Kour
•Executive Members: Mr. Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi, Mr. Sayed Anis Ahmed, and Mr. Rajesh Sharma
The meeting was also attended by Ms. Asima Ali, Member of Hockey J&K and Vice President of Hockey India, who congratulated the newly elected team.
Following the election, the newly elected president, Mr. Manik Batra, expressed his gratitude to all members for their support and pledged to introduce new initiatives aimed at promoting and strengthening the game of hockey across Jammu & Kashmir. The meeting concluded with a formal vote of thanks.
