Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff on Friday paid tribute to legendary actor Dev Anand on his 102nd birth anniversary, remembering the evergreen star’s unmatched charm, style, and contribution to Indian cinema.

Sharing a heartfelt video montage on Instagram Stories, Jackie showcased rare black-and-white photos and iconic song sequences from Dev Anand’s films, including ‘Dil Ka Bhanwar Kare Pukar’ from Tere Ghar Ke Samne (1963), ‘Khwab Ho Tum Ya Koi Haqeeqat’ from Teen Devian (1965), ‘Hai Apna Dil To Awara’ from Solva Saal (1958), and ‘Ankhon Hi Ankhon Mein’ from C.I.D. (1956). He captioned the post simply: “Remembering Dev Saab on his birth anniversary.”

Fondly remembered as one of Hindi cinema’s most stylish and charismatic actors, Dev Anand’s career spanned over six decades, with more than 100 films to his credit. He made his lead acting debut in Hum Ek Hain (1946), but it was the 1951 crime thriller Baazi that propelled him to stardom and cemented his place as a trailblazer in the ‘Bombay Noir’ genre.

From the 1950s to the 1970s, Dev Anand delivered multiple box-office hits including Guide, Jewel Thief, Johny Mera Naam, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, and Kala Bazar. Even in later decades, he remained relevant with films like Des Pardes and Swami Dada. His last directorial and acting venture, Chargesheet, released in 2011.

Over his illustrious career, Dev Anand received several prestigious awards, including the Padma Bhushan and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2002, leaving behind a legacy cherished by generations of cine lovers.
