DDC Kathua releases village Amenity Directory, District Statistical publications

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 26: To highlight the socio-economic and developmental profile of the district, the District Development Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today released a set of key statistical publications at a brief function held in his office.

The publications released included the Village Amenity Directory and District at a Glance 2024-25, along with the District Statistical Handbook 2023-24 and Economic Review 2022-23 & 2023-24.

Additional District Development Commissioner Surinder Mohan; General Manager DIC, Mushtaq Ahmed Chowdhary; Chief Planning Officer, Ranjeet Thakur; District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, Sidharth Anand; AD (P&S) Sanjay Kumar; District Officers besides staff members of DSEO were present on the occasion.

The District Statistics and Evaluation Office being the nodal agency for collection, compilation and dissemination of statistical data has brought out these publications which serve as a vital resource for researchers, planners, students and other stakeholders.

After releasing the publications, the DDC appreciated the efforts of the field functionaries involved in data collection and compilation. He emphasized the need for regular updates, wider coverage and continuous improvement in the publications to ensure greater utility for all users.
