Congress Leaders Visit Cloudburst-Affected Families in Rajgarh; Demand Relief and Rehabilitation
Rajgarh, 28 September 2025: Former Minister and Ex-MP Choudhary Lal Singh Ji, accompanied by Fairoz Khan, Former National President NSUI, and other senior Congress leaders, today visited Rajgarh to meet the families affected by the recent cloudburst tragedy.
During the visit, the delegation interacted with the victims and assured them of full support from the Congress Party. Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and widespread destruction, the leaders urged the, J&K Govt., UT Administration and Central Government to take immediate and concrete relief measures.
The Congress delegation demanded the following:
1. One government job per affected family to ensure long-term livelihood security.
2. Compensation of ₹10 lakh to each family who lost a loved one in the tragedy.
3. Allotment of land for the rehabilitation of displaced families whose homes and properties were washed away or fall within the danger zone.
4. Assessment of all damaged households that have developed cracks due to heavy rainfall and give them the compensation accordingly, along with compensation for loss of crops and livestock.
The leaders also met local Congress workers and representatives who have been at the forefront of relief efforts. They appreciated their dedication and discussed coordinated steps for continued assistance to the affected families.

Speaking to the media, the leaders emphasized that timely action and compassionate governance are essential in moments of such tragedy. They pledged to continue raising the issue at every level until the victims receive justice and adequate rehabilitation.
The delegation assured that the Congress Party will stand shoulder to shoulder with every affected family until full relief and rehabilitation are achieved.
