IAF Chief Highlights How Air Power Can Decide Military Outcomes in Just Days

Hindon (UP), Oct 8: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has demonstrated the decisive role of air power in shaping military outcomes within just a few days, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh said on Wednesday. Addressing air warriors on Air Force Day at the Hindon Air Base, he highlighted the success of Operation Sindoor and its impact on restoring the prominence of offensive air action in national defense.

“Our performance in Operation Sindoor fills us with professional pride. We proved to the world how air power can be effectively used in shaping military outcomes in just a few days,” he said.

Air Chief Marshal Singh described the operation as a “shining example of meticulous planning, disciplined training, and determined execution.” He noted that India’s bold and precise strikes had reinforced the value of offensive air operations in national strategy.

He also emphasized the IAF’s robust air defense architecture and the effective deployment of long range surface to air missile systems, which limited adversary operations and ensured the safety of critical assets.

Highlighting the role of home-grown capabilities, Singh said, “The outstanding performance of indigenously developed and integrated weapons, delivering precise and devastating strikes deep inside enemy territory, vindicates our faith in domestic systems.”

The Chief of Air Staff further noted that the integration of new systems, weapons, and equipment into operational plans has significantly enhanced the IAF’s efficiency. He also praised the increasing culture of accountability, safety, and security among air warriors, citing a reduction in incidents and accidents.

“At all levels, leaders are leading from the front, demonstrating exceptional vision and empathy, ensuring every individual is empowered with training and motivation,” he added.
