Jammu Cop Injured in Accidental Gun Firing Near Railway Station
Constable Showkat Ahmad Sustains Bullet Wound, Rushed to GMC Hospital
JAMMU, Oct 25: A police constable was critically injured after his service rifle accidentally discharged near Jammu railway station on Saturday morning.
Selection Grade Constable Showkat Ahmad, who was on duty at the station, sustained a bullet wound to his abdomen around 8:30 am, officials said.
He was immediately taken to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital by his fellow officers for urgent medical treatment. Authorities have initiated an inquiry into the incident.
