Bhagwat Says Crisis Hit World Now Looks to India With Hope
RSS chief highlights India’s spiritual strength and cultural heritage as a model for global harmony at Jabalpur event.
JABALPUR, Nov 4: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that the world, facing multiple crises, is now looking towards India with hope for guidance and solutions.
Addressing the ‘Jeevan Utkarsh Mahotsav’ organised by a prominent religious organisation in Jabalpur, Bhagwat remarked that global expectations from India stem from its spiritual traditions and cultural values, which emphasize righteous living and mutual harmony.
“The world is in turmoil and seeks answers. India follows the path of religion and culture and that is why it can show the right direction,” Bhagwat said.
He explained that in common understanding, culture means virtuous conduct, and such conduct arises only when people share goodwill and genuine connection. “Without these values, hostility grows, and conflicts emerge,” he cautioned.
Bhagwat added that India has preserved its spiritual heritage, enabling it to guide the world at critical junctures in history. “In reality, we are all connected India understands this unity, but the world has forgotten it. Hence, today the world looks to India,” he said.
Emphasizing the importance of spiritual leadership, the RSS chief said, “Saints provide the right direction to society, and that is why the RSS remains closely engaged with them.”
The inaugural session was also attended by Ishwarcharan Swami, a senior spiritual leader of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. The five-day festival celebrates the life, teachings, and service of Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual head of the globally renowned organisation.
On the occasion, Bhagwat released a book authored by Swami Bhadreshdas, praising his scholarship and noting that his thoughts and teachings remain deeply relevant to contemporary society.
