Delhi Police Summons Al Falah Chairman in Terror Module, Fake Documents Investigation

Investigators seek clarification from Chairman Javed Ahmad Siddiqui over irregularities flagged by UGC, NAAC and links to Red Fort blast suspects

New Delhi, Nov 17: The Delhi Police has issued two summons to Al Falah University chairman Javed Ahmad Siddiqui as part of its ongoing investigation into the Faridabad terror module case and two FIRs filed against the university for alleged forgery and cheating.
Officials said Siddiqui’s statement is “crucial” to address inconsistencies uncovered during the probe into the university’s operations and its association with individuals currently under scrutiny.
The Crime Branch recently registered two FIRs against the Haryana-based university after the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) flagged major irregularities in its accreditation documents. Both regulatory bodies submitted detailed reports to law enforcement, pointing to suspected fabrication and false claims.
A senior officer confirmed that the FIRs relate to “alleged forged accreditation papers and misleading institutional claims”, adding that investigators are examining all documents in depth.
Sources further revealed that the summons to Siddiqui form part of a broader investigative trail connecting the university to suspects involved in last week’s blast near the Red Fort. Several individuals linked to the incident reportedly have past associations with Al Falah University, prompting the police to scrutinise institutional records, financial transactions, and administrative approvals.
The investigation is continuing.
