Jammu, 7 December 2025:JP World School, Jammu, celebrated its much-awaited Annual Sports Day ‘ZENITH’ with immense enthusiasm, energy, and vibrant participation on the school grounds today.
The event commenced with a warm ceremonial welcome to the esteemed Chief Guest, Ms. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, and Mr. Nirmal Kishore Kotwal, President, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu. They were joined by the Principal, Ms. Aparana Kohli, whose presence added dignity and grandeur to the celebration.
In her address, Principal Ms. Aparana Kohli highlighted the importance of sports in holistic development. She proudly acknowledged students who have represented the school at national and international levels and urged the youth to stay away from mobile addiction and drugs, and to embrace sports for a healthier future.
The Chief Guest, Ms. Nuzhat Gul, inspired the audience with her motivating words. She applauded the school for providing a dynamic platform for young athletes and encouraged students to pursue sports with dedication, confidence, and focus.
The cultural programme began with a soulful Ganesh Vandana, setting a serene tone for the day. A moment of pride followed as the Student Council and outstanding sportspersons led the Marshal Light Round, symbolizing discipline, unity, and excellence. This was succeeded by the traditional Pigeon Release, representing peace and harmony.
One of the major highlights of the event was the grand March Past, accompanied by the BSF Band and the four school houses, showcasing impeccable coordination, vigour, and competitive spirit. The patriotic fervour peaked as the gathering resonated with the National Anthem.
Students from the primary wing captivated the audience with their perfectly synchronized PT Drills, highlighting rhythm, fitness, and teamwork. The excitement continued with the commencement of track events, where students from all classes participated with enthusiasm and determination.
Spectacular demonstrations of Wushu, Judo, Taekwondo, and Speedball further highlighted the exceptional skill, training, and discipline of the young athletes.
