iPhone Fold Expected Next Year Featuring Hidden Camera, Sleek Design and Advanced Features

Upcoming iPhone Fold may feature a 7.58-inch folding screen, under-display selfie camera, side-mounted Touch ID, and dual 48MP rear cameras

Mumbai, Dec 16 : Apple’s long awaited entry into the foldable smartphone market could finally arrive next year, according to recent leaks from Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. The highly anticipated device, reportedly called the iPhone Fold, is said to focus on a sleek, practical design while incorporating several innovative features.

The foldable iPhone is expected to adopt a book style design, opening horizontally to reveal a 7.58-inch internal display. Apple is reportedly prioritising a slim form factor, making the phone more premium and practical for daily use. The device may also feature a hidden under-panel selfie camera, eliminating notches or cut outs for a seamless viewing experience. On the outside, the cover display is tipped to measure 5.25 inches with a small punch hole camera to maximise usable screen space.

In a notable design shift, Apple is expected to bring back Touch ID via a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, instead of using Face ID or an under-display fingerprint sensor. This decision is reportedly aimed at conserving internal space while maintaining a thin body. The phone’s hinge is also said to be a major focus, designed to be “very strong,” addressing common durability issues seen in other foldables.

Camera performance is another highlight, with the iPhone Fold tipped to feature two rear 48-megapixel sensors, emphasising low-light performance and image quality rather than adding multiple lenses. While the inclusion of Apple’s Dynamic Island remains uncertain, the overall package appears aimed at combining premium design, durability, and functionality.

The leak also suggests that Apple’s entry could reinvigorate the foldable segment next year, sparking increased competition with rivals like Samsung, which is reportedly testing a new wide-format foldable device. Although these details are yet to be officially confirmed by Apple, the leaks hint at a significant step forward for foldable technology in the high-end smartphone market.
