Army JCO Dies After Sustaining Gunshot Injury While on Duty in Samba
Defence sources rule out terror angle; probe underway to ascertain circumstances
Jammu, Dec 24: An Army Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) died after sustaining a gunshot injury while on duty in the Samba district of Jammu, defence sources said on Wednesday.
According to the sources, the incident occurred during the course of duty. The JCO was immediately rushed for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
Officials have ruled out any terror related angle at this stage. The circumstances leading to the incident are under investigation, and further details will be shared once the inquiry progresses, the sources said.
