Punjab Police Bust Cross Border Arms Smuggling Module, Two Pakistani Linked Suspects Arrested

Six sophisticated pistols seized in Amritsar as investigation unfolds into illegal arms trafficking network.

Punjab, Jan 21 :  Police have cracked a cross border illegal arms module with links to Pakistan based smugglers, arresting two individuals on Wednesday. The Amritsar Commissionerate recovered six advanced pistols two Glock and four .30 bore along with two cartridges, according to DGP Gaurav Yadav.

The accused were reportedly trafficking weapons to local gangsters under the direction of foreign handlers. An FIR has been registered under the Arms Act at Islamabad Police Station, Amritsar, as authorities continue the probe into the network.
