Google CEO highlights collaboration ahead of PAX SILICA signing, expresses confidence in India’s AI trajectory.

NEW DELHI, Feb 20: Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said the US-India partnership has a critical role in ensuring AI benefits reach everyone, underscoring the importance of collaboration as the two nations prepare to sign the PAX SILICA declaration.

Addressing the AI Impact Summit, Pichai described the current phase of artificial intelligence as a moment of “hyper progress and new discoveries,” while cautioning that positive outcomes are not automatic. He emphasized the need for coordinated global efforts to make AI inclusive and widely accessible.

Pichai noted that Google acts as a bridge between the two countries, with teams in India and the United States working closely on major initiatives. Innovations originating in India, such as Google Pay, have gone on to improve products for users worldwide, he said.

Expressing optimism about India’s future in artificial intelligence, Pichai stated that the country is poised for an “extraordinary trajectory” in the sector. He added that Google is supporting this growth through a full-stack commitment that includes product development, scaling, and infrastructure investment.
