‘O’Romeo’ Box Office Day 13: Shahid Kapoor–Triptii Dimri Film Sees Steep Second-Week Drop
‘O’Romeo’ Day 13 Box Office: Shahid Kapoor–Triptii Dimri Film Slows in Week Two, Nears ₹60 Crore
Mumbai, Feb 26 : Shahid Kapoor’s romantic drama O’Romeo is witnessing a steady slowdown in its second week, though it is inching closer to the ₹60 crore mark at the domestic box office. After a robust opening week, the film has experienced the expected weekday dip, with footfall thinning across key centres.
O’Romeo box office collection Day 13
According to early trade estimates, the film earned approximately ₹1.20 crore on its second Wednesday, taking its India net total to around ₹60.25 crore. The movie had concluded its first week on a strong note with ₹47.1 crore, setting a solid base for its theatrical run.
While the second weekend offered a brief lift with collections of ₹3.4 crore on Day 9 and ₹3.15 crore on Day 10 momentum could not be sustained through the weekdays, resulting in a noticeable midweek drop.
Occupancy trends
On Wednesday, overall Hindi occupancy stood at 5.67 percent. Morning shows performed relatively better, while afternoon and evening screenings saw subdued turnout.
Bengaluru led with 9 percent occupancy across 119 shows.
Pune and Jaipur followed at 8 percent.
NCR and Hyderabad recorded 7 percent each.
Lucknow registered 6 percent, while Mumbai logged 5 percent from 362 shows.
Kolkata and Ahmedabad saw 4 percent.
Surat and Bhopal remained low at 2 percent, and Chennai reported minimal response.
Comparison with previous releases
The film is marginally ahead of Shahid Kapoor’s 2016 crime drama Udta Punjab, which concluded its lifetime run at approximately ₹60.33 crore. By Day 13, O’Romeo is nearly at par with that figure but has not surpassed it yet. However, it trails significantly behind blockbuster hits like Kabir Singh and Padmaavat, both of which crossed ₹150 crore within two weeks.
About the film
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, O’Romeo stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in lead roles, alongside Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah, Disha Patani and Vikrant Massey in pivotal appearances.
With the ₹60 crore milestone almost achieved, the upcoming weekend will be crucial in determining whether the film can sustain its run and push its lifetime total to a stronger finish.
