CBSE Postpones Board Exams in Middle East Amid Iran-Israel Tensions

New Delhi, Mar 3: The Central Board of Secondary Education has deferred Class 10 and 12 examinations scheduled for March 5 in several Middle East countries in view of the ongoing regional conflict, officials announced on Tuesday.

The decision applies to examination centres located in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that the step was taken as a precaution due to the prevailing situation in parts of West Asia. Revised dates for the affected papers will be notified separately.

The board also indicated that the status of subsequent examinations will be reviewed on March 5 before further decisions are taken.
