Police Head Constable, Wife Killed in Bhaderwah Road Accident; Two Children Injured
Vehicle loses control and plunges into river near Basti village in Doda district
Jammu, Mar 13: A head constable of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and his wife lost their lives, while their two children sustained injuries after a car accident in the Bhaderwah area of Doda district on Thursday.
Officials said the accident occurred near Basti village when an Alto car carrying the family went out of control and plunged into a nearby river.
The deceased were identified as head constable Zulfikar Ali and his wife. The officer was reportedly travelling to join his duty when the mishap took place.
Their two children were injured in the accident and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the crash.
