BSF Jawan Dies by Suicide in J&K’s Samba
Police begin investigation after security personnel discovered hanging inside BSF post early Monday.
Jammu, Mar 16: A personnel of the Border Security Force was found dead inside a camp in the Penthi area of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir early Monday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Head Constable Hari Babu, a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Authorities said he was discovered hanging at his duty post within the camp premises.
Following the incident, the body was taken to a nearby hospital for postmortem examination and completion of legal procedures.
Officials said the reason behind the incident is not immediately known. Local police have initiated inquest proceedings, and further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is underway.
