New DElhi, Apr 29 : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and met tribal representatives in Great Nicobar, amplifying concerns over a large infrastructure project.
Local communities flagged risks related to environmental degradation, lack of transparency, and threats to indigenous populations such as the Shompen tribe. Gandhi emphasised that development must prioritise local communities and ecological balance.
