Kargil, July 26 : On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, President Droupadi Murmu paid heartfelt tributes to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice while safeguarding India’s territorial integrity during the 1999 Kargil War. She said the nation would always remain grateful to the courageous warriors whose unwavering commitment and patriotism ensured the country’s victory against hostile forces.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed every year on July 26 to commemorate India’s triumph in the Kargil conflict and to honor the extraordinary courage displayed by the Indian Armed Forces. The day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by soldiers who fought under extremely challenging conditions in the rugged mountains of Ladakh.
