PM Modi Meets President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan

The Prime Minister's meeting with the President comes shortly after her return from a week long diplomatic tour across three European nations.

NEW DELHI, Jul 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday, holding a courtesy meeting following the President’s recent overseas visit.

The President’s Secretariat confirmed the interaction through a post on X, accompanied by photographs from the meeting. The official post stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The meeting took place just days after President Murmu concluded her week-long visit to Moldova, North Macedonia and Romania. She returned to India on Sunday after completing the three nation tour, which focused on strengthening diplomatic engagement and expanding bilateral cooperation.

While the President’s office did not disclose the agenda of Thursday’s interaction, such meetings are part of regular constitutional engagements between the Head of State and the Prime Minister. They also provide an opportunity to discuss key national and international developments.

President Murmu’s visit to the three European countries marked an important diplomatic outreach aimed at enhancing India’s partnerships and reinforcing ties in areas of mutual interest.
