JP Nadda Stable After Coronary Angiography at AIIMS Delhi

The Union Health Minister was admitted after experiencing uneasiness and remains under observation in the cardiology department, according to AIIMS.

New Delhi: Union Health Minister JP Nadda is stable and under medical observation at AIIMS Delhi after experiencing uneasiness and undergoing a coronary angiography, hospital authorities said.

Nadda was admitted to the premier medical institute after he complained of uneasiness. Doctors subsequently conducted the cardiac procedure, following which he was kept under observation in the cardiology department.

The hospital has not indicated any immediate cause for concern regarding his condition, and the minister remains under the supervision of doctors.

The health update came shortly before and around India’s 80th Independence Day celebrations, during which Nadda continued to be associated with official public activities.

The development has drawn attention given Nadda’s role as Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and his involvement in several major healthcare initiatives of the central government.

The minister’s hospitalisation also comes as the government continues to focus on expanding healthcare access, strengthening public health infrastructure and increasing the reach of government backed medical programmes.

Recent government figures indicate that India’s health coverage network has expanded substantially, with 45.5 crore Ayushman Cards issued and 1.86 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs established across the country.

Nadda’s condition will continue to be monitored by the medical team at AIIMS, with further updates expected from the hospital if required.
