AMARAVATI, Aug 30: Andhra Pradesh has approved the establishment of a dedicated university campus focused on quantum technology and artificial intelligence, marking a significant step towards building an advanced technology ecosystem in the state.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has cleared the proposed Quantum and AI University campus in Amaravati, with the initiative aimed at promoting research, innovation and specialised education in emerging technologies.
The institution is expected to focus on areas that are increasingly important to the global technology sector, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing and other next generation digital technologies.
The proposed campus is part of the state’s broader efforts to position Amaravati as a centre for technology driven development. By creating a specialised academic and research environment, the initiative is expected to encourage collaboration between researchers, students, technology companies and startups.
The focus on quantum technologies comes as governments and technology firms around the world increase investments in advanced computing, cybersecurity and scientific research.
