UGC-NET Re-Exam: NTA Releases Provisional Answer Keys for Three Subjects
Candidates can raise objections to the English, Commerce and Sociology papers from September 10 to 13
NEW DELHI, Sep 10: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday released the provisional answer keys for the UGC-NET June 2026 re-examination conducted for English, Commerce and Sociology.
According to the testing agency, candidates can review the provisional keys and submit challenges between September 10 and 13 through the designated examination portal.
The NTA announced the development in a post on X, stating that the provisional answer keys for the three subjects were now available for candidates. Those seeking to raise objections have been given the specified window to submit their challenges.
The re-examination was ordered after candidates raised concerns over multiple errors in the question papers for the three subjects during the original UGC-NET June 2026 examination.
The English paper was conducted on September 9 from 9 am to noon during the first shift, while the Commerce examination took place the same day from 3 pm to 6 pm in the second shift.
The Sociology paper was held on September 10 from 9 am to noon.
The NTA had originally conducted the UGC-NET June 2026 examination between June 22 and 30 across 87 subjects.
The examination is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as an assistant professor and admission to PhD programmes.
Candidates who appeared for the re-examination have been advised to check the provisional keys carefully and submit objections within the prescribed deadline.
