Bollywood Stars Join Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations Across Mumbai
Akshay Kumar, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shilpa Shetty and other celebrities welcomed Lord Ganesha as the 10-day festival began across the country.
Mumbai, Sept. 15: Bollywood celebrities marked the beginning of Ganesh Chaturthi with prayers, family gatherings and festive messages, joining millions of devotees across India in welcoming Lord Ganesha.
The 10 day festival began on September 14, with several prominent names from the Hindi film industry sharing glimpses of their celebrations with fans. Akshay Kumar, Kajol, Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sharvari were among the stars who extended festive greetings and participated in celebrations.
Kareena Kapoor Khan offered fans a glimpse of the festivities involving her family, while Kajol shared her own festive moments. Sharvari also participated in celebrations in Morgaon, a significant pilgrimage destination for devotees of Lord Ganesha.
Shilpa Shetty, who is known for celebrating the festival with enthusiasm, also welcomed Bappa and shared the occasion with her followers. Other celebrities similarly used social media to convey their wishes and showcase their celebrations.
The Ambani family also hosted a grand Ganpati celebration, with Anant and Radhika Ambani taking part in traditional rituals. The festivities attracted considerable attention online as photographs and videos from celebrity gatherings circulated widely.
