Sat Sharma reviews Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, calls for intensified grassroots outreach across J&K
Jammu, 21 September 2026: With the month-long ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’ gaining momentum across Jammu and Kashmir, J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA) chaired a review meeting at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, taking detailed stock of the implementation and ground-level response to various programmes being conducted across the Union Territory.
The meeting focused on ensuring that the campaign’s message of public service, social responsibility and nation-building reaches every section of society. The Abhiyan is being conducted from September 17 to October 17.
J&K BJP General Secretary and Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan Incharge Gopal Mahajan, Secretaries Dinesh Sharma and Arun Sharma, Treasurer Prabhat Singh Jamwal, Adv. Rajesh Gupta, Brahamjyot Satti, Rakesh Pant and other senior office bearers were present in the meeting.
Sat Sharma reviewed reports from programme in-charges and senior office bearers regarding activities already conducted and the preparations for upcoming programmes. He stressed that the success of the Abhiyan must be measured by its grassroots reach, disciplined execution and meaningful public participation, directing party functionaries to maintain close coordination and ensure that every programme carries the spirit of ‘Seva’ to the people.
Addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma said that the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan is not merely a series of programmes, but an organizational effort to strengthen BJP’s direct connect with society through the spirit of service. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service provide an opportunity for BJP workers to take the message of service, development and national commitment to the grassroots.
“Every programme under Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan must have a clear connect with the people. Our workers should ensure that the spirit of Seva reaches every district, every Mandal and every section of society. The strength of the BJP lies in its cadre and its continuous engagement with the people,” Sat Sharma said.
He directed the programme teams to maintain effective coordination, punctual execution and regular monitoring, while giving greater emphasis to youth, women, students and other sections in the remaining programmes. The BJP has been conducting multiple activities across J&K under the Abhiyan, including cultural, social-service and public outreach programmes.
Gopal Mahajan briefed Sat Sharma on the progress of the programmes and the preparations for the forthcoming activities. He said that organizational teams across districts are working in coordination to ensure wider participation and effective execution of every programme.
