DDC Chairperson Poonch reviews implementation of current year capex Budget at Council meeting
Finalizes projects, location for utilization or Tribal funds
POONCH, JULY 03: Chairperson District Development Council, Poonch Tazeem Akhter today chaired a meeting of council members to review the implementation of the current year’s CAPEX budget.
The meeting was attended by BDC Chairpersons & DDC members, besides Deputy Commissioner, Inder Jeet; ADDC, and the District & Sectoral officers.
In the first half of the meeting, various stakeholders deliberated upon the identification of Project/Location for utilization of funds amounting to Rs 10 crore released by the Tribal Affairs Department. All the members unanimously decided that these funds shall be utilized for the collective well-being of the Tribal Community & shall act as a growth engine for the overall development of this predominant Tribal region.
The Chairperson stressed upon the members to choose projects having a large development impact.
The second half of the meeting focused upon the implementation of the current year Capex budget, including formulation of plans and execution of works.
The Chairperson directed District Officers to prepare estimates of the projects at the earliest so that the works are carried out well in time.
The members raised different issues effecting the general public & suitable directions were passed by the DDC Chairperson to the concerned officers to work with zeal & in an innovative way. In the end, District Development Commissioner ensured the council that all the directions will be implemented in letter & spirit and the timeline for every activity would be fixed.
The Chairperson informed that such meetings will be convened periodically to assess the progress of developmental works and issues effecting the general public & suitable directions were passed by her to the concerned officers to work with zeal & in an innovative way.
