DDC Chairperson discusses developmental scenario of Ramban district with Secretary Cooperatives

RAMBAN, JULY 14: Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad today discussed various issues with the Secretary to Government Cooperatives Department, Yasha Mudgal who is also the in-charge Secretary of the district Ramban for implementing development plans and projects approved under different sectors and schemes.

While discussing the development scenario of the district, they held a detailed deliberation on strategy and steps being taken by the concerned departments for the execution of the development plan to achieve tangible results.

The Chairperson also raised various public issues including sanctioning and up-gradation of link roads, replacement of electric poles, shortage of staff in Health Centres, provision of snow cutter for the district, the start of Batote GDC Campus (building) work, and clearance of pending payments of 2017-18, 2018-19 under RDD sector.

The Chairperson highlighted the need for infrastructural development in the tourism sector, which will play a pivotal role in improving the income of local people besides generating more job opportunities for youth.

She also apprised the Secretary about various district-specific needs and issues faced by the DDC Councilors.

While discussing education sector schemes, the Chairperson sought special attention on the construction of school buildings, playgrounds, and other infrastructure to improve education standards in the district.
