GDC Dudu Basantgarh celebrate Women International Day & organize symposium “Gender Equality for a Sustainable Tomorrow”
Dudu, 08-03-2022 : Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav organized a Symposium on the occasion of International Women’s Day on the theme “Gender Equality for a Sustainable Tomorrow”. The day is celebrated across the globe on 8th March every year. The day is celebrated to commemorate the achievements of women, raise awareness against gender biasness, gender inequality and encourage people to participate in the ongoing fight for gender equality. No society can walk on the path of progress until there is no gender equality.
On this auspicious eve, Principal of the college Dr. Bhavnaish Chand addressed the students and aware them about the significance of women empowerment. He also gave examples to students that how the women across the world set up a benchmark for entire mankind. Now a day women participate in every sphere of life. Students of the college participated enthusiastically in the program. Total fourteen students participated in the program. The first prize was clinched by Varinder Singh, student of semester 5th. The second prize was bagged by Shabnum Bano, students semester 5th and third prize was collected by Santosh Kumari, student of semester 3rd. Dr. P.P. Singh, Ms. Aastha Gupta and Dr. Ravi Kumar acted as jury members. In the closing ceremony, the vote of thanks was given by Mr. Nazeer Ahmad Khan and Dr. Mudasir Ahmad Rathar.
The overall program was organized and supervised by Prof. Pradeep Kumar Kundal with the coordination of college organizing committee.
