BJP Government Responsible for Selective Killings Happening in Kashmir Today: Krishna Allavaru

InCharge IYC Krishna Allavaru Chairs State Executive Meeting of Youth Congress in Jammu

08-06-2022 : InCharge of the Indian Youth Congress Krishna Allavaru on Tuesday headed a State Executive meeting of the Youth Congress in Jammu as part of the Congress party’s Chintan Shivir. JKPCC President Sh. Ghulam Ahmad Mir, JKPCC Working President Sh. Raman Bhalla, Vice-president JKPCC Sh. Mula Ram, Former Minister & General Secretary JKPCC Sh. Yogesh Sawhney, General Secretary Sh. Manmohan Singh Pinka and General Secretary JKPCC Sardar Channi Singh were present in the meeting. State Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chib along with office bearers of the Youth Congress participated in the meeting as well.
Two-minutes of silence was observed in the presence of Krishna Allavaru as a mark of respect and condolence for the deceased in the selective killings that have happened in J&K and for the brutal killing of Congress leader and singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Krishna Allavaru strongly condemned the incidents of selective killings happening in Kashmir and the death of Sidhu Moose Wala and flagged security concerns that should be immediately looked into. He further demanded compensation from the government for the affected and grieving families and kins of those killed in these incidents in Kashmir. He also sought strong security arrangements to be put in place to protect the employees who are currently staying in vulnerable areas in J&K, and mobilise them to safer areas to prevent such tragedies from befalling another family in the country. He said that all people should be protected against such acts of terrorism at all costs.
The AICC Joint Secretary then discussed structural issues within the party and stated that the party must strengthen it’s organizational infrastructure, starting from the ground level and the booth-level and work our way up. He added that booth-level committees will be formed and those who perform well and in the favour of the party and the public will be encouraged and promoted. ‘We want youth members to step out and raise their voice on the podium of the party. Youth members and young leaders will be encouraged and given opportunity to take part in elections and electoral processes.’, he stated. He also commented on the state of affairs in the country stating that the country is plagued by a lot of serious issues such as security issues and unemployment. The party will take necessary steps to uplift the youth in the party as well as in the society simultaneously to counter these issues, he said. He further added that by encouraging the youth congress, we will take a step in the right direction towards growth.
He stated that the party will press for better governance in Jammu and Kashmir and encouraged the participants in the meeting to intensify their campaign against the failures of the BJP Government in the UT. The youth congress is an extremely important branch of the party and all youth members must extend their complete support to the party’s movements and ideologies. He said that the party has put in place a systematic process to reward those who perform well and help to bolster the party at the ground level. At the same time, Congress is making strong attempts to bring much needed reforms in the country. In the same vein, he added, the party is raising it’s voice against the inhumane and extremely unfortunate selective killings that are happening in Kashmir and will continue to do so until the government takes some visible and legitimate actions for the safety and security of the people. They should take responsibility for these incidents and formulate a plan to ensure people that history won’t repeat itself.
