Rahul Sahai Chair PHDCCI calls on Khalid Jahangir MD JKTPO

31-08-2022: Rahul Sahai Chair, PHDCCI Jammu Chapter along with Amarpreet Singh, Resident Officer, PHDCCI Jammu paid a courtesy call to Khalid Jahangir, Managing Director, JKTPO.Rahul Sahai extended his warmest congratulation to him for assuming the office of Managing Director, Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization.

Sahai apprised him about the activities PHDCCI is doing in the J & K and nationwide also sensitized him about the yearly PHDCCI activity of Ambassadors meeting at the national level extended support in collaborating for international promotion, B2B meetings, Roadshows, Expos in J&K or in other cities. Sahai said PHDCCI has its own premises in Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Jaipur with Conference facilities he offered that JKTPO may use these facilities with PHDCCI as a partner. He said that PHDCCI has been supporting various pragmatic initiatives of the UT of J & K and the Central Government towards the economic, industrial, and overall development of J & K.

Sahai said that there is a dire need for the promotion and development of Private Industrial Estates which are coming up in Jammu. Further, he said that awareness regarding Financial Schemes available for start-ups should be done on a large scale. There is a need to promote Handicrafts, Art, and Paintings in Basoli and Pir panjal region in Jammu.

Mr Jahangir said that there is a need to form clusters for various sectors to enhance their competitiveness. He said that we should identify more land for private industrial estates. He appreciated the initiatives and activities PHDCCI is doing.

Mr. Jahangir said that JKTPO will ensure its full support and cooperation with the initiatives taken by PHDCCI. He said that JKTPO would like to collaborate and contribute to the events organized by PHDCCI.
