We need to be fair and just while dealing with youth : BJP

Jammu:-  BJP has constituted a Committee for dealing with issues of ReKs/ReJs. A host of meetings were held by former Dy CM, Mr. Kavinder Gupta, Chairman of the Committee along with former MLA & spokesperson BJP,  Mr. Ranbir Singh Pathania.

We need to be fair and just while dealing with youth-related issues. It was impressed that the youth constitute the very backbone of the human resource of an area. We need to rectify the errors and and slips of the past. These are wounds which have festered for decades and decades should be cured and wiped off by now. The BJP leaders were dealing with deputations of a bid to reach out to issues of employees, may it be ReKs, Rehbar e Janglats, NHM employees,  undertook meetings with delegations of these employees with a view to getting a first hand narrative of their issues and demands.

Various way outs and possibilities were discussed with a view to meeting their genuine demands.

ReK delegation underscored the need for reducing the specified regularisation period from 7 to 5 years and providing them a  minimum basic salary of a PeT till they are put on the sanctioned cadre.

The Rehbar e Janglats also sought to ensure a time bound and sure short regularisation after completion of the specified period. In view of technical nature of duties peformed by them and their professional qualifications, it was impressed that they should be regularised in the grade/scale of a ‘forestor’.

The same is the case of NHM employees who alongwith the their counterparts in rest of the states canavssed for a comprehensive  regularisation policy. They called for purely  humanitarian treatment. These employees are those who have been working in the departments in worst of conditions. And they  have kept the flag of the department high in worst conditions. The uncertainty and  insecurity hovering around them tends to be dispelled at the earliest so that they are also able to deliver their best.

At the last, it was assured that all means and possibilities shall be explored to ensure that a final, workable solution in line with the settled legal position is reached .
