State land in Qazigund retrieved from NC leader Peerzada G. A. Shah’s kin

One kanal and 18 marlas of land is registered as grazing land in Estate Kurigam of Tehsil Qazigund

Anantnag, Feb 02: Revenue officers of Tehsil Qazigund Thursday retrieved encroached land from the relatives of Peerzada Ghulam Ahmad Shah, a former forest minister and prominent NC leader, as part of their anti-encroachment campaign against powerful encroachers.

According to officials, the land is registered as Kahcharai in Estate Kurigam of Tehsil Qazigund and measures 1 kanal by 18 marlas. They claimed that a relative of prominent NC leader and former minister Peerzada Ghulam Ahmad Shah had encroached on the land.

The aforementioned plot of land, which is worth more than Rs 1 crore, was illegally encroached upon and is just one of several such areas that were freed from the control of powerful land grabbers.
