Congress should learn to respect courts like Donald Trump: Kavinder

BIRPUR (SAMBA),05-04-2023: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday said that leaders like Rahul Gandhi have tarnished the image of the country in foreign lands by decrying the Indian government and judicial set-up.

While addressing a meeting in Birpur, the senior BJP functionary said that the entire Congress Party, especially Rahul Gandhi should take a lesson from the former US President Donald Trump, who after the court’s verdict readily surrendered instead of wearing black clothes and going around in protest against the ruling of the court. He said that the entire Congress party wanted to spread the wrong narrative that the BJP government is behind the conviction of their leader but the reality was totally contrary because it was the court that had given the decree to put behind bars the Congress leader for his actions breaking the law of the land.

The former Deputy Chief Minister said that the oldest political party of the country should better recall the darkest era of the country brought in by their leader late Indira Gandhi in the shape of Emergency, whereby people’s voice was totally muzzled and fundamental rights were under siege. He said that the hue and cry that Congress has been making inside and outside the Parliament over Rahul’s conviction is totally unfounded because instead of politicizing this wrong act of their leaders they should make an appeal in the concerned court to seek justice if they feel that the same has not been delivered.

The BJP stalwart said that Rahul Gandhi has become the political entity that is defaming the country whether he is in India or outside, which is unwarranted and the Congress party will have to pay dearly for such uncalled-for behavior of their leaders.

Later, the senior BJP leader interacted with the people of the area and took stock of their issues. He assured to resolve their issues at the earliest by taking it with the authorities concerned.
