RK Kalsotra Takes Center Stage at 11th Round Table Conference on Dalit, OBC, and Minority Rights
State President RK Kalsotra Presents National and State Agenda at 11th Round Table Conference for Constitution and Democracy Protection at Hamirpur-Khour
Jammu 11.06.2023: 11th Round Table Conference was organized today at Hamirpur Khour by Dalit, OBC, Minorities. a wing of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations for protection of Constitution, Democracy under the slogan of “Sath Chalo Milkar Lado”.
RK Kalsotra, State President Confederation & DOM(Dalit, OBC, Minority), and his State Team including S Kuldeep Singh Giani, Dr Ramesh Kaith & Mohit Chandan were welcomed by the organizers at Hamirpur by Coordinator Gopal Dass and other participants.

At the outset Kalsotra presented the National & State agenda which included Peorection of Constitution & Democracy, Naming of New Parliament building as Dr B R Ambedkar, Stoppage of EVM,Collegium System & Reseevation in Jusiciary & higher education, Stoppage of privatisation, restoration of Statehood, 27% Mandal Commission Report, Prohibition on Dalit oppression (Attrocities on Miniorities), Land allotment, Reinstatement of backlog posts, and in addition to this Ut-State issues like Shaheed Bhagat Amar Nath who laid down his life for the start of reservation policy in J&K, a holiday for Ist June on his sacrifice Day, and Baglihar Hydro Project to be named as Shaheed Bhagat Amar Nath Hydro Electro Project along with this all Shamlat, Custodian allotment to be regularised and where allotment were made possession to be given to SCs, Restoration of Promotions, Clerance of pending backlog, At par Compensation of 10 lacs instead of 5 lacs to Dipu (SC) & govt job who killed few days earlier in Kashmir by militant,Restoration of 5 years Age concession to SC/ST & 3 years to OBC, at par with UPSC & Receuitment Boards, Representation in PSC/SSRB, caste-based atrocities on SC/ST increasing. Recently a Corporator of Jammu is attacked and on 9.05.2023 a case under SC/ST Atrocity Act was registered by police SHO, P/S, Thathri, on the complainant by Sarpanch namely Lakhmi Chand S/o Ram Saran caste Megh R/o Chagsoo Tehsil Bella(Doda) but still no arrest has been made.
Kalsotra apprised the participants that on 8 June 2023, he met with Arun Mehta CS UT-J&K & submitted a Memorandum on the agenda above mentioned. We need support to raise the issue at the National and State level to pressurize the ruling govt to implement all our issues. He appraised that at the National level, Confederation has called a Bahujan Sansad on 2nd July 2023 at Constitution Club, New Delhi to Chak out the strategy for Save Constitution & Democracy for implementation of all demands. Kalsotra advised the participants to mobilize the masses and join the event in New Delhi for the cause.
A Kuldeep Singh Giani and Dr. Kaith sought support from the participants to mobilize the beneficiaries of the rights which are enshrined in the. Institution for its savings.
A large number of men and women comprising of Panch and Sarpanch who participated in the Conference assured to fully support the agenda of the DOM-Confederation and assured in the future they will strengthen the movement and even participate in Bahujan Sansad at Delhi.
In the end, important resolutions were adopted for naming the new parliament building as Dr. B R Ambedkar Parliament House. The naming of Baglihar Hydro Project as Shaheed Bhagat Amar Nath and holiday on his sacrificed day, memorial on the name of Bhagat Chajju Ram, Babu Parmanand, Masha Nar Singh & Jagu Ram all Dalit Social reformers of J&K in one voice.
