Shiv Sena urges closure of meat shops on Devshayani Ekadashi

Appeal Muslim brothers only to pay prayers on Ist day of  Eid

Jammu,28-06-2023  Shiv Sena (UBT):  Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Manish Sahni demanded the closure of meat shops in the city of temples Jammu on the auspicious occasion of Devshayani Ekadashi on June 29. An appeal was made to Muslim brothers to respect the religious sentiments of Hindus to Postpone the “Kurbani” , offer only prayers on the first day of Bakr Eid (June 29).
During a press conference organized at the party state office today, state chief Manish Sahni said that on June 29 there are two auspicious days together.  Devshayani Ekadashi of Hindus and Bakr-Eid is the biggest festival of Muslim brothers.
Sahni appeals to Muslim brothers to offer prayers on the first day of Bakr-Eid and to avoid “Kurbani”,  respecting the mutual brotherhood and religious faith of Hindus.
 He said that in this connection, he has personally met and appealed to several Muslim religious leaders including the Mufti  Jammu.  On which positive signals have been received from the Muslim brothers, the religious leaders said that the holy festival of Eid continues for three days and the “Kurbani”  can be on the next day.
On the other hand, Shiv Sena leaders appealed to the Jammu administration to issue instructions to keep the meat shops closed on this holy day in the city of temples keeping in mind the religious sentiments of the Hindus, a memorandum was also submitted to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Jammu.  Sahni said that according to their beliefs, from the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, the sleep period of Lord Vishnu begins. Which Means Chaturmas begins from this day and all auspicious and auspicious works are banned.
On this occasion, President Women’s Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, Chairman Rakesh Gupta, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Vice President Sanjeev Kohli, President Kamghar Wing Raj Singh, and Mangu Ram were present on the occasion.
