Demands unemployment allowance for J&K youth

UDHAMPUR: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir Unit has expressed serious concern over the increasing unemployment, crime, and drug abuse in the state and demanded the Modi government at the Center should introduce a job creation policy and provide unemployment allowance to educated unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Manish Sahni, President Shiv Sena J&K today chaired a meeting of party workers of unit and discussed the strategies for upcoming ULB elections.
During his address, Sahni stated that the rising unemployment, drug abuse, and criminal incidents in the state have been a result of the failed policies of the central government. He said that there is a significant connection between drug abuse, increasing criminal incidents, and the alarming rate of unemployment. The disillusioned youths, due to lack of employment opportunities, are getting caught in the web of drug addiction and crime, he added.
