GDC Ramnagar, Cultural/Debate Symposium Committee Organized Nukkad Natak

14-08-2023: Govt. Degree College Ramnagar, NCORD Committee in conjunction with Culture/Debate Symposium Committee organized Nukkad Natak on the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” on 14 August 2023. College students performed the act in the main town of Ramnagar to spread an important message among the masses, especially in youth about the menace of drug abuse. Dr. Mohd. Riaz (convenor) also spoke about the issue and addressed the gathering on the role of various psychological and social factors as a driving force behind this menace. Principal, Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, threw light on existing challenges associated with drug abuse and the urgent need of the hour to curb this issue.

The event was organized under the noble guidance of Principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand who applauded the organizers for this initiative. The organizing members were Dr. Monica Thakur (Convenor, Cultural, and Debate Symposium Committee), Dr. Om Prakash (HOD Sanskrit), Dr. Mohd. Riaz (Convenor, Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan), Prof. Ritika Mahajan (Convenor, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, NSS PO), Prof. Shobha Rani, (HOD Dogri), Dr. Divya Puri (HOD Psychology), Dr. Sonam Gandotra (Faculty, Computer Applications).

The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra (HOD Physics), Prof. Swarna Bhougal (HOD, Political Science), Prof. Aditya Sharma (HOD Computer Applications) and Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed (HOD BBA). Dr. Mohd Riaz (Convenor NCORD) delivered a formal vote of thanks and the program concluded with a light refreshment to the students.
