Land Transferred under Roshni Act: DDC Udhampur reviews progress of cancellation of mutations

UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 17: The progress on the cancellation of mutation for the land transferred under the Roshni Act in the district Udhampur and the eviction was today reviewed by the District Development Commissioner, Dr Piyush Singla here at a meeting of the Revenue department.

The meeting was attended by ADC, ACR, SDMs, and Tehsildars.

The DDC directed the Revenue Authorities to share Tehsil wise progress on daily basis.  He asked all the SDMs to review the progress of cancellation of Roshni entries on daily basis in their respective jurisdictions.

The DDC also directed revenue authorities to cancel all the entries of the other state land encroached in the district.

The meeting was informed that against 1786 mutations registered under Roshini Act in Udhampur district, 241 have been canceled and the cancellation of the remaining is under progress.
