Shiv Sena launches “Mai bhi ek sanik”, vows to fight for rights of Jammuites

Pay tribute to Sher-e-Duggar Prem Nath Dogra.

JAMMU,23-09-2023: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit today launched the “Main Bhi Ek Sainik” campaign by paying‌ floral tribute to “Sher-e-Duggar” Prem Nath Dogra.
Under the leadership of party J&K president, Manish Sahni, a group of Shiv Sainiks went door-to-door, contacted the public, and appealed to come together for the restoration of their rights and a decisive fight against dictatorial decrees.  Sahni said that the people of Jammu, who supported every decision of the Central Government including the abrogation of Article 370, have been betrayed.
Sahni said that those who used to sing the praises of Jammu are now silent on the discrimination faced by the city, and the injustice done in the name of alleged discrimination from Jammu. Our cultural identity is under attack, Jammu Doordarshan has been almost shut down, commercial activities such as hotels are being facilitated in the glorious historic Mubarak Mandi complex, and the historic Ranbir Canal is in a pitiful state.
He said that the economy of Jammu has been severely affected by the disruption of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage due to the expansion of rail and road routes. Tourism destinations in Jammu are suffering due to their deteriorating conditions. The proliferation of liquor shops and the spread of addiction and crime are leading the youth towards destruction, he added.
He maintained that the increasing rate of unemployment among the youth, coupled with deepening despair, is pushing them towards drug abuse and crime. The public is burdened with inflation, unemployment, and economic instability, as they are being forced to bear the brunt of smart meters and property tax.
Sahni asserted that the campaign aims to ensure the guarantee of the rights of the sons of the soil along with cultural security, free electricity and water, toll-free travel, eradication of drugs and crime, inflation, unemployment, and better healthcare and education. Let us all become “Sanik” and take the fight for our rights to a decisive turning point.
On this occasion, dozens of Shiv Sainiks including President Women’s Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Chairman Rakesh Gupta, Vice President Sanjeev Kohli, President Kamghar Wing Raj Singh, Prabhari Ashwani Prabhakar, President Udhampur Sanjeev Sharma , Geeta Lakhotra, Dimple , Shashi Pal, Mangu Ram, Sahil Gandotra, Vishal Verma and many others were present
