CBI Arrests accused in an on-going investigation case of missing girl

25-11-2020: The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested an accused in an on-going investigation of a case. The missing girl has also been found.

CBI had registered a case on 01.01.2020 against an accused and others U/s 363 of IPC in compliance with the orders dated 06.12.2019 of Hon’ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior Bench in Writ Petition No. 5220/2017 and taken over the investigation of FIR No. 45 dated 26.02.2017 of Police Station, Roan, District Bhind (Madhya Pradesh). It was alleged that the complainant (father of the missing girl) had informed that his minor daughter was taken away on Motor Cycle by the said accused and another person, both residents of Village- Dhuta, District- Jalaun (Uttar Pradesh) and when he chased the Motor Cycle, he was threatened. The local police had arrested a friend of the accused, whose bike was allegedly used in the incident.

After a thorough investigation including a search of bank accounts in several banks, the accused was traced at Rajpura in Punjab. The linked mobile number with the said bank account was allegedly in 3rd person’s name.

The arrested accused will be produced before the Competent Court for transit remand.
