Heartfelt Gratitude: FOIJ Members Welcome Chief Secretary’s Commitment to MSME Sector
FOIJ WELCOMES ADMINISTRATION DECISION FOR REGULAR INTERACTION WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF INDUSTRIAL SECTOR FOR THE GROWTH OF MSME SECTOR IN JKUT.
05-12-2023 : A Meeting of the Federation of Industries Jammu was held under the Chairmanship of Sh. T.S. Reen, Chairman FOIJ in the presence of Sh. Lalit Mahajan and Sh. Deepak Dhawan, Co-Chairmen, Sh. Viraaj Malhotra Secretary General, Sh. Pardeep Vaid Convenor and other Executive Committee Members of FOIJ in which the members present welcomed the decision taken during the introductory review meeting of the Industries & Commerce Department under the Chairmanship of Sh. Atal Dulloo (IAS) Chief Secretary, Union Territory of J&K for regular interaction with the representative of the Industrial Sector for the Growth of the MSME Sector in JKUT.
Members present in the meeting convey their Heartiest Gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Secretary Sh. Atal Dulloo (IAS) and Commissioner/ Secretary Industries & Commerce Department Sh. Vikramjit Singh, (IPS) for taking appropriate steps to ensure the growth of the MSME Sector in JKUT with the decision to have regular Interaction with the Stakeholders to resolve the issues related to the Existing as well as New Units being set up under the NCSS-2021 Package of Incentives announced by Govt. of India.
It is pertinent to mention here that it is the need of the hour to save the Existing working Industrial Units of JKUT (mostly run by the Sons of the Soil) working in spite of all the Odds over the last 33 years and providing Direct and Indirect Employment to Lakhs of Local People, with the grant of Fiscal Incentives at par with the New Units being set up under the NCSS-2021 by revisiting of Jammu & Kashmir Industrial Policy 2021-30 with the consultation of Stake Holders to review the Turnover Incentives on the basis of actual Turnover of each Financial Year and the Reimbursement of GST to Units who opt for Substantial Expension after 01-04-2021 & extend the Fiscal Incentives upto 31-3-2031 for creating additional Employment Opportunities for Local Youths.
It is worthwhile to mention here that due to Locational Disadvantages, the worst suffers were the Micro & Small Scale Sectors of J & K after the Govt. purchases were shifted to the GeM Portal, as it is not possible for them to sell their Products in other parts of the Country due to additional cost of Raw Materials and dispatch of Finished Goods and it is the need of the hour to provide the Purchase Preferences to those Units in Govt. Purchases to save them from closure.
We request Hon’ble Chief Secretary Sh. Atal Dulloo (IAS) for the reconstitution of the Industrial Advisory Committee with the participation of Stakeholders to have regular meetings to resolve the issues of the MSME Sector on a priority basis.
