BJP celebrates ‘Lohri Milan Samaroh’ at Ramgarh

Karalian, Ramgarh: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leaders celebrated Lohri festival with religious fervor and zeal, while addressing hundreds of people in a ‘Lohri Milan Samaroh’ programme organized by J&K BJP Kissan Morcha President & DDC Sardar Sarbjit Singh Johal in Karalian of Ramgarh.

J&K BJP General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul was chief guest on the occasion, while the former BJP State President & former Minister Sat Sharma, BJP Vice-President & former Minister Surjit Singh Salathia, BJP General Secretary & former Minister Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, former Minister Chander Prakash Ganga, DDC Chairperson Keshav Dutt, District President Kashmira Singh, Mandal President Choudhary Shiv Kumar, Morcha General Secretary Rakesh Pant and others participated in the event.

Ashok Koul, while wishing the whole nation on the occasion, spoke on the importance of this festival. He prayed for the universal brotherhood, peace and social harmony of the region and the nation. He said that we all must burn our egos in this Holy Fire and pray to the Almighty to grant us with the ever-increasing power to hold our ground for the truth and justice. He asked all the people present on the occasion to contribute in the progress of the nation.

Sat Sharma said that every Hindu festival has a significant effect in our lives and teach us to struggle and gain without compromising on the principles and not to bow before any evil soul.

Surjit Singh Salathia said that our region and the people have seen much misfortunes in the earlier decades and with the peace returning fast, we are celebrating our festivals in a cordial atmosphere.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said that our festivals teach us for universal co-existence, tolerance and respect for other faiths. There are number of festivals in a calendar year and each one of them has teaching associated with it.

Chander Prakash Ganaga also wished the people on the occasion wishing for a season filled with fortune for all.
